APMF participation in COGI (Beijing) 2009
The APMF was asked to present a session in November 2009 at the 3rd Asia Pacific Congress of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility in Beijing.
The presenters were Professor Yu Qi and Professor Sun Aijan from Beijing and Dr Elizabeth Farrell from Australia.

APMF President is recognized for her outstanding contribution to women’s health and medicine
APMF is proud to announce that our President , Dr Elizabeth Farrell, has been recognised in the Australia Day Honours list.
Dr Farrell will be appointed as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia, “for service to medicine in the field of women’s health, particularly obstetrics and gynaecology through research, clinical practice, education and administrative roles and as a contributor to a range of professional organisations”.
“I am very humbled to receive this honour,” said Dr Farrell. “It gives me such pleasure to work alongside my fellow health professionals who share my interests and passions in this field, as well as the pleasure I get from the many wonderful women I am privileged to work with every day.”
Dr Farrell’s previous awards include an inaugural Australian Health Media Award in 2006 and the prestigious science-based Avon Spirit of Achievement Award in 1998.

APMF 2008 Consensus Statement on the Management of the Menopause
A meeting to form the APMF Consensus Statement on the Management of the Menopause was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from April 11-13, 2008. This statement represents the combined opinion of representatives from the 14 countries comprising the APMF. The statement is available for download here (Microsoft Word Format).
New President: On March 3rd Professor Ko-En Huang handed over the Presidency of the APMF to Dr Elizabeth Farrell, the representative of the Australasian Menopause Society. Dr Farrell will remain as President leading up to the 4th Scientific Meeting of the APMF in Sydney, Australia in September 2010.
President Elect: On March 1st, Professor Takeshi Aso was elected unanimously to the post of President Elect.Professor Aso will assume the Presidency at the end of the 4th Scientific Meeting of the APMF in Sydney in September 2010.
2013 Meeting: Congratulations to the Japan Menopause Society for successfully bidding to hold the 5th APMF Scientific Meeting in Tokyo in 2013
